The installation Stamani tu dormivi ancora quando mi sono svegliato was created especially for the exhibition La Trilogia Esistenziale. This project was curated by Maria Cristina Strati and dedicated to Michelangelo Antonioni’s Existential Trilogy-La notte (1961), L’avventura (1960) e L’eclisse (1962). In particular my work is inspired by the 1961 movie La Notte.

In this the occasion, I played with the idea of repairing situations. I took a decesive scene in the film and I worked with its main object: a letter. This letter is essential in the final scene of the movie, where Jeanne Moreau reads it to the character starred by Marcelo Mastroianni. The letter had been written many years before, when he was still in love with her, something that he had completely forgotten. The act of sewing each capital letter in blue velvet  reflects the intention of repairing, in the case of the movie, it is almost a magic act where they have to try to restore their relationship when they where about to break up.
